Highlights from the Calata Group’s cross-examination of former minister of police Bheki Cele at the TRC Cases Inquiry
Yesterday (27 August 2026), former Minister of Police and former Commissioner of Police Bheki Cele returned to the TRC Cases Inquiry for cross-examination. Adv Howard Varney, counsel for the Calata Group questioned Cele on the reasons behind the delays in investigating and prosecuting TRC cases.
